train station: Cromford (1¼ miles)
- By
road: 3½ miles south of Matlock via A6:
From Matlock pass Cromford (2 miles), 'Pisani' (marble &
granite) (1mile), after ¼ mile High Peak Cottage is
on a very sharp 150 yd private access lane to the canal,
on the left.
- By
road from south:
Cross Whatstandwell Bridge & pass Homesford Cottage
Inn 1 mile later, ½ mile further, at the end of a long
right-hand bend, turn right into private access lane (easily
missed) to canal.
